Birth and History of the Company
The name Phoenix was conceived after the eruption of Mount Pinatubo in the Philippines and the Phoenix Investment Management Group Limited was formed on 23rd April 1999.  

Phoenix Consultants Ltd is now wholly owned by the Chief Executive Officer Mr. Ken Golby. Mr. Ken Smith is the Managing Director. The company is registered in the Bahamas with the head office in the Far East, offering advice to expatriates and executives in more than 55 countries.

Ken & Ken

Ken Golby started in 1982 with Merchant Investors in London. He then moved from consultant to MD of a national independent brokerage. After some 10 successful years onshore, Ken moved to Dubai with offshore company Finexco Ltd.

As MD of Phoenix Investment Consulting, the company grew to cover the Far East, Middle East and S. America and in 2005 he became CEO of Phoenix Consultants Ltd.

Ken Smith has 25 years of experience in the shipping, commodity trading and financial services sectors, the last 15 years of those as an expatriate and Managing Director.

He joined Ken Golby at Phoenix International Management Group Ltd in 2002 and was invited to be MD at Phoenix Consultants Ltd when Ken Golby founded that company in 2005
